Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 August 2026.

WHO WE ARE

"Solitaire" (the "Game", the "App") is a free Klondike solitaire game for iPhone, iPad and Android, developed and published under the name Appgea by Furkan Kaynar, an independent developer ("we", "us", "our"). Appgea is a trading name, not a separate company. This policy covers the iOS version and the Android version. Where the two differ, the difference is called out below.

Contact for any privacy question or request: Email: devappgea@gmail.com

This is our only contact address. Any other address you may see attributed to Appgea is not ours.

For data-protection purposes under the EU/UK GDPR, the data controller is Furkan Kaynar, trading as Appgea, reachable at the email address above. A postal address is available on request and is published on our App Store and Google Play developer pages.

The Game is playable in eight languages and is available worldwide, so this policy is written to cover the rights of players in the EEA, the United Kingdom, California and elsewhere.

THE SHORT VERSION

Solitaire is free, and it is paid for by advertising. That means it is not a private-by-design app, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.

The sections below give the full detail.

1. DATA THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

The Game has no account system and no backend of ours. Everything you build up by playing is written to your device's own storage and never sent to us:

These are stored in the app's private preferences area (SharedPreferences on both platforms). Your hint, undo and joker credit balances are held separately in the device's secure storage: the iOS Keychain, and encrypted preferences on Android.

Because this data lives only on your device, you control it directly. You can reset your progress in the Game, and uninstalling removes ordinary app storage. Secure Keychain items and external device backups can remain separately. We cannot restore local progress.

Note that the credit balances are held on the device and not on a server. If you delete the App or move to a new device, unspent credits do not travel with you. VIP is different: it is attached to your store account and can be restored. See section 5.

2. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The Game is free because it shows ads, supplied by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC). Ads run only in the iOS and Android builds. There are no banner ads. Two formats are used:

Players with an active VIP subscription see no ads at all.

To serve, cap and measure those ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the App collects and processes information directly. Depending on your platform, settings and consent choice, this can include:

We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you. We see only Google's aggregated reporting: impressions, revenue and similar figures. Google's use of this data is governed by its own policies, including https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

2.1. Your consent choice

We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for and record your choice about advertising. On first launch we show our own short explainer screen, which tells you that ads keep the Game free and what Google is about to ask. Google's own consent form is then shown where it is required, in particular in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. We do not decide the wording or the options in that form; Google does.

Outside the regions where a form is required, the Game does not show one, because Google's platform reports that no consent needs to be gathered.

You can change your mind at any time. Open Settings inside the Game and choose "Manage Ad Preferences" — this reopens Google's privacy options form, from which you can withdraw or re-grant your consent.

2.2. iOS: no tracking prompt, non-personalized ads

The iOS build does not include the App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not request tracking permission. As a result:

Apple's SKAdNetwork may still be used by Apple and by advertisers to measure ad campaigns. SKAdNetwork is designed by Apple to report installs and conversions in aggregate, without identifying you or your device to us.

2.3. Ads and children

The Game is not directed to children (see section 11), and we do not currently mark ad requests as child-directed or as coming from a user below the age of consent. If the Game is ever published under a child-directed age rating or into a families programme, ad requests will be tagged accordingly, only non-personalized ads will be served, and no advertising identifier will be used for those requests. We will update this policy at the same time.

3. OPTIONAL TELEMETRY AND EARLIER VERSIONS

The September 2026 privacy update keeps Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection disabled. Completing an advertising consent form does not enable usage analytics or diagnostics.

Earlier versions could enable telemetry after the advertising consent step. They sent gameplay, session, screen, settings and progression events, device information and pseudonymous installation identifiers. Crash reports could include stack traces and device state. Installing an update does not erase records already held by Google. Event records and aggregated reports have different retention rules. Contact devappgea@gmail.com for requests concerning historical records. Google's policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

5. PURCHASES (APPLE, GOOGLE AND REVENUECAT)

The Game offers optional purchases: VIP subscriptions (weekly, monthly and yearly), a one-time lifetime VIP unlock, and consumable credit packs for hints, undos and jokers.

We never process payments ourselves. On iOS, payment is handled by Apple through the App Store and your Apple Account. On Android, it is handled by Google through Google Play Billing and your Google Account. We never see or receive your card number or your billing details.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage and validate these purchases and to keep track of whether your VIP entitlement is active. When you open the purchase screen or complete a purchase, the RevenueCat software in the App may collect and process:

This is used only to complete purchases, validate receipts, restore purchases and prevent fraud. RevenueCat receives none of your gameplay data. Its handling of data is governed by https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.

Apple's and Google's handling of your purchase is governed by https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

6. GAME CENTER AND GOOGLE PLAY GAMES

On launch, the Game asks the platform's gaming service to sign you in: Game Center on iOS, Google Play Games on Android. Whether that happens is decided by your device and by your Apple or Google account settings, not by us. If you are not signed in, the Game works normally and simply skips this.

When you are signed in, the Game can submit your high score to that service's leaderboards and unlock its achievements. Your gaming profile, nickname and leaderboard entries belong to Apple or Google and are governed by their policies. We do not receive your gaming account identity, and we store nothing about it.

You can turn these services off, or sign out of them, in your device settings or in the Game Center / Play Games app.

7. NOTIFICATIONS (LOCAL ONLY)

The Game can send you a small number of reminders: a nudge about an unfinished game roughly a day later, a reminder that your daily streak is running, and a note when you are close to an achievement.

All of them are scheduled on your device by the operating system. There is no push server, we send you no remote messages, and no notification content reaches us. The text is chosen on the device from your language setting.

Notifications are only sent if you granted the system permission, and you can switch them off at any time in the Game's settings or in your device settings.

8. RATING PROMPT

After certain milestones the Game may ask the operating system to show the standard App Store or Google Play rating sheet. That sheet belongs to Apple or Google. We do not learn whether you rated the Game, and we never see the content of a review through the App.

9. WHY WE PROCESS THIS DATA, AND ON WHAT LEGAL BASIS

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

We do not use your data to make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not build profiles of you ourselves.

10. RETENTION

11. CHILDREN

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and it is not designed or marketed for them. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under 16 where that higher age applies in your country. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the Game, write to devappgea@gmail.com and we will delete what we can and ask our providers to do the same.

Parents: because the Game contains advertising and optional purchases, we recommend using the parental controls and purchase restrictions built into iOS Screen Time and Google Play family settings.

12. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Most of your data is under your direct control: you reset it in the Game or by deleting the App, and you change your advertising choice in Settings → Manage Ad Preferences. For data held by Google, Apple or RevenueCat, email us at devappgea@gmail.com and we will help you exercise your rights and direct the request to the right provider. We may need to verify your request.

You can also limit ad tracking at the device level: on iOS, by leaving app tracking off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android, by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in Settings → Privacy → Ads.

California (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell your personal information for money. However, showing personalized ads through an advertising partner can count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under California law, and as cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time by declining personalization in the ad preferences form inside the Game, or by using the device controls above. You also have the right to know, delete and correct, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

13. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Google, Apple and RevenueCat process the data described here in countries outside your own, including the United States. Those providers rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Their privacy policies set out the detail.

14. SECURITY

Your on-device data is protected by the security of your device, including the iOS and Android app sandboxes and device encryption. Credit balances are held in the platform's secure storage rather than in plain preferences. Traffic between the App and our providers uses encrypted connections. Because we run no server and hold no account, there is no database of ours that could be breached. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we keep the amount of data involved small by design.

15. OTHER PLATFORMS

The Game can also be built for web and desktop. In those builds the advertising, analytics, crash reporting, purchase, notification and leaderboard features described above are switched off, and the Game runs entirely on the local machine.

16. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add a feature or change a provider. If we make a material change we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at the same address. Continued use does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
