WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
Hayrola collects only the information you choose to provide:
- Dream text you enter for interpretation
- Optional profile information: gender, age range, marital status, and religiosity level
This information is used solely to provide more personalized dream interpretations.
HOW DATA IS STORED
All data is stored locally on your device using Hive, an on-device database. Your dreams and profile information never leave your phone. There is no cloud sync, no server upload, and no remote backup. Pseudonymous usage statistics are the only thing sent off the device — see USAGE ANALYTICS below.
WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
- No dream content ever leaves your device
- No cloud synchronization
- No advertising identifiers
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking
- No precise location data
- No contact information
- No cookies or web tracking
USAGE ANALYTICS
Hayrola uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, so we can fix what is broken and improve what works.
What is sent:
- Which screens you open, and in what order
- Counts and outcomes not linked to your identity — a dream was recorded, a reading was delivered, a purchase was started
- The word count of a dream entry (a number only, never the text)
- Your app language, whether you have Premium, device model, OS version, and country
What is never sent:
- Your dream text
- Your profile answers
- Your name, email, or any contact detail
- Any advertising identifier
This data is tied to a random app-instance identifier rather than your identity. It is pseudonymous, not anonymous. It is never sold and never used for advertising. Reinstalling the app resets the identifier.
YOUR CHOICE AND LEGAL BASIS
In the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, we ask for your consent before collecting anything. Until you agree, analytics is switched off and no identifier is stored — that consent is our legal basis under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and ePrivacy Art. 5(3). In other regions analytics starts enabled, on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app.
Wherever you are, you can switch analytics off at any time under Settings > Usage analytics. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing: collection stops immediately and the identifier is cleared. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of anything collected beforehand.
Google acts as a data processor for this information. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy for how they handle it.
DATA DELETION
You have full control over your data at all times.
- Delete individual dreams from the history screen
- Clear all dreams via Settings > Clear all dreams
- Reset your profile via Settings > Reset profile
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently
Turning analytics off clears the identifier on your device immediately. Previously sent analytics remain only for the Firebase retention period and are automatically deleted within two months.
THIRD PARTIES
Your dream content and personal profile information are never shared with any third party. All dream interpretation runs locally on your device. Two external services are involved: the payment processor (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) when you make a purchase, and Google Analytics for Firebase for pseudonymous usage statistics. Neither receives your dreams or profile.
PURCHASES
Purchases are processed by Apple, Google and RevenueCat, which receive purchase and app-instance identifiers needed to process the transaction — never your dream content.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Hayrola is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please contact us at devappgea@gmail.com and we will promptly address the concern.
