Günün Hadisi ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is developed and published by Appgea ("the Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is processed, and the rights you have in relation to that information.
It applies to both editions of Günün Hadisi:
- Günün Hadisi for iOS (com.appgea.gununhadisi), including its home-screen and Lock Screen widgets.
- Günün Hadisi for Android (com.appgea.gununhadisi), including its home-screen widget.
The two editions are separate applications built for their own platform. They share the same product, the same on-device-only design, and this policy. Where a section applies to only one platform, it says so.
By downloading, installing, or using Günün Hadisi, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. The Short Version
- We do not operate any servers.
- We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone.
- We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
- Everything the App remembers about you is stored on your device only.
- The App has no adverts, no purchases, and no subscriptions.
- The only network activity is downloading narration audio from Apple or Google.
2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
Appgea is the data controller for any limited information processed in connection with the App. Contact: devappgea@gmail.com
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following on your device and nowhere else. It is identical on iOS and Android:
- Your chosen reading language.
- The identifiers of the hadiths you have saved, and the date you saved each one.
- The date you first opened the App. This is what decides which hadith you see on which day.
- A count of how many times you have opened the App, and the version you were last asked to rate. This is used only to decide when to show the rating prompt, and never to profile you.
On iOS this is held in the App Group container shared by the App and its widgets. On Android it is held in the App's private preferences. In both cases it is removed when you uninstall the App.
None of it is transmitted to us. We have no way to read it.
4. What the App Does Not Collect
The App does not collect, request, or process:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Your location, at any level of precision.
- Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera.
- Advertising identifiers, device identifiers, or cookies.
- Usage analytics, crash telemetry of our own, or behavioural profiles.
- Payment information. The App is free and contains no purchases.
5. Network Activity
The App carries the first thirty days of narration inside the download itself. Nothing needs to be fetched for it to work.
Narration beyond day thirty is delivered as on-demand asset packs:
- iOS: Apple-hosted Background Assets packs, requested through Apple.
- Android: Play Asset Delivery packs, requested through Google.
A pack is requested only after you press play on a day whose audio is not yet on the device. In serving that request, Apple or Google may process your IP address and device information under their own privacy policies. We receive no report of it and cannot connect it to you.
The App makes no other network requests. It has no other server to talk to.
6. Information Processed by Apple (iOS Edition)
Apple processes the following in connection with the iOS App; we do not see it:
- App Store downloads and updates, governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy.
- Background Assets pack delivery, as described in §5.
- The App Store rating prompt, presented by the system. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Apple.
- Crash reports and diagnostics, only if you opted into "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings. These are aggregated by Apple and contain no identifying user data.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, Apple may include the App's on-device data in your own encrypted iCloud backup. That backup belongs to you, not to us.
7. Information Processed by Google (Android Edition)
Google processes the following in connection with the Android App; we do not see it:
- Google Play downloads and updates, governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
- Play Asset Delivery pack delivery, as described in §5.
- The in-app review prompt, presented by Google Play. Any rating or review you leave is handled by Google.
If Android's system Auto Backup is on, Android may copy the App's data to your own Google account. That backup belongs to you, not to us.
8. Notifications
The App sends no push notifications and creates no push token.
On Android, the App posts one notification while narration is playing, so you can pause it without reopening the App. It exists only while audio is loaded and is removed when playback stops. If you decline the notification permission, audio still plays; you simply lose that control.
9. Sharing a Hadith
When you share a hadith, the App draws a card on your device and hands it to your system share sheet. You choose where it goes. We are not involved in that step and keep no record of it.
10. Children
The App is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children in a way that collects data from them, because it collects no data from anyone. We do not knowingly process personal information from children.
11. Your Rights
Because the App holds no personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to give you a copy of, correct, or erase on request. You are in full control of what the App has stored:
- Remove a saved hadith at any time from within the App.
- Uninstall the App to erase everything it has stored on your device.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable law, the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection apply to any personal data a controller holds about you. We hold none.
12. Data Retention
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. On-device data stays until you delete it or uninstall the App.
13. Security
The App holds no credentials and transmits no personal data, so there is no account to compromise and nothing in transit to intercept. On-device data is protected by your device's own operating system and by whatever screen lock and disk encryption you have enabled.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and the current version will always be reachable from the App's Settings screen and from the store listing. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
